Newport News Bar Association (NNBA) is a voluntary, non-profit, and non-partisan organization composed of (i) attorneys whose law offices or residences are located in Newport News; (ii) Judges, active and retired, who serve or have served one of the Courts in Newport News; and (iii) associate members who are licensed by the Virginia State Bar, but do not maintain an office or live in Newport News. Over the years, NNBA has grown to a membership of over 200 people. The critical purposes of the NNBA include providing:

 

1. Communication to its members regarding issues related to the practice of law.

 

2. An application and interview process to evaluate candidates for judicial appointments for Newport News courts.

 

3. Programs that inform and educate members as to legal and community issues.

 

4. An opportunity for social interaction for its members.
